systems, network security and distributed applications. Our current interests include (but are not limited to):
- 5G and Beyond 5G Mobile Networking
- AI/Machine Learning Empowered Networking
- Ultra-Low Latency Communication
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Network Softwarization
- Network Applications
- Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
- Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC)
- Network Security
Admission Policy
We welcome students and researchers regardless of nationality, who have strong interests in defining and developing next generation cyber infrastructure including Beyond5G, and have computer science background (particularly in the fields of computer networks, operating systems, distributed applications, network security and the like) and who speak English and/or Japanese. We conduct research on 5G (the fifth generation) mobile networking, IoT, LPWA, Network Security, technologies put forth by network softwarization such as SDN, NFV, programmable network (Internet of Programmable Things), and In-Network Machine Learning and AI, etc.
