On March 11, 2026, at the IEICE General Conference 2026 held in Fukuoka City, Professor Akihiro Nakao was awarded the Fellow distinction by the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
This honor was conferred in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research on next-generation cyber infrastructures through the integration of information science and information and communication technologies.
